For many Westerners the philosophy of Buddhism has great appeal, but some are disconcerted to find a strong emphasis on ritual and devotion in all forms of Buddhism. This useful collection of lectures and recordings of devotional ceremonies (not a formal series) illustrate why this emphasis exists. Since this series was given, devotional practice in the FWBO has undergone a lot of change - but this is still an essential guide to some of the underpinnings.
