How to Die a Good Death – Themes From the Mahaparinibbana Sutta

by Danadasa (2022)

The Mahaparinibbana Sutta (Digha Nikaya 16) tells the story of the Buddha’s last months before his final passing. During this time, the Buddha goes on his final teaching tour to address his disciples one last time. In this talk, Danadasa explores two important themes from this sutta: (1) the teaching is above the teacher, and (2) the meaning of “the deathless”. This recording begins with The Buddha Puja and ends with the Shakyamuni mantra.
