Midnight Star Puja to Tara with Karaniya Metta Sutta Reading

by Satyalila

The 'Midnight Start Puja to Tara' was written by Vessantara and is one of a set of five pujas to the five female Buddhas, counterparts of the five Jinas (five Buddha mandala). Thus Tara is celebrated in relation to Amoghasiddhi, especially focusing on the quality of fearlessness. Those taking part in the puja were invited to offer their fears/anxieties to Tara so that they might transform into viriya (energy in pursuit of the good).

This talk is part of the series Pathways to the Beautiful Mind: Bristol Rains Retreat 2019.
