Mindfulness of Others (LWFA Week 7)

by Viryanaga (2017)

A short introduction to the theme of mindfulness of others. Everything we do subtlety or directly affects those around us. This means that any form of mindfulness always need to include an awareness of others, and the best way to discover if we have really made progress is to ask ourselves whether we have become less selfish. Mindfulness of others therefore means making a conscious effort to see things from other people's point of view, and trying to avoid the dangers of self-absorption.

Talk given as part of a Life with Full Attention Course at Brixton Triratna, January 2017.
