The Buddha Festival 2015 Inaugural Talk (with translation in Hindi)

by Subhuti

Subhuti gives the inaugural talk at the opening ceremony of Buddha Festival 2015, at the Deeksha Bhumi, Nagpur, india.

The enlightenment of the Buddha was a revolution in the human mind, his first meeting with a Brahmin marked the beginning of a revolution in society. That revolution was reignited by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on this very spot, the Deeksha Bhumi, in 1956. But how do we carry that forward today? What are the forces working to prevent the arising of a true Buddhist culture? Subhuti discusses the refuge of skilful karma and the dangers of consumerism, fundamentalism and scientism.

With Hindi translation from Maitriveer-Nagarjuna.
