'A New Buddhist Movement - the Meaning of the FWBO' is comprised of three lectures given in 1979 in New Zealand to explain the purposes of the Friends of the Western Buddhist Order – how it is Western, in what way it is Buddhist, and what we mean by ‘Friends’ and ‘the Order’. Again, it is perhaps somewhat out-of-date as a reflection of the breadth and depth of contemporary FWBO culture, but it is still full of excellent and provocative material for anyone with an interest in how Buddhism has taken shape in the West.
