'The Sangrahavastus' are the traditional 'Four Means of Unification of the Sangha', and here Subhuti uses them to explore the role of the 'chapter' in the life of the Western Buddhist Order. Most members of the Order, at some time in their lives, take part in regular chapter meetings - a sort of ongoing spiritual workshop. These talks were given at a time when the chapter set-up was changing, and Subhuti looks at ways in which the institution and its practices can be revitalised in the light of some very basic and indispensable Dharma. In that sense, it's well worth a listen for anyone who's concerned to play their part in building a working spiritual community of any kind.
