Blog maintenance

February 2nd, 2007

We’ll be upgrading the blog software today. This may cause some disruption to our service, but we’ll do our best to get everything back to normal as soon as we can.

Second Update

January 31st, 2007

To receive our update information by email, you can always subscribe to our mailing list.

Hello again! Well, that was a longer break than we imagined… We’ve had a good few weeks off now - much needed after the big push to get the site launched. And since we got back from Christmas festivities, etc., we’ve been looking at ways to improve things, analysing statistics, and responding to feedback from our beloved users… So, a few tweaks under the hood, as it were - notably the new ‘browse’ section on the main menu. This streamlines access to our talks grouped by theme, speaker, title, or year - so you can find general areas of interest at a glance.

We haven’t been entirely lax with the archive itself though! We’ve been preparing lots of new talks in the background for release over the next month or so - including an extensive new archive from Taraloka Retreat Centre on meditation. We also have a whole bunch of new texts coming - and look out for our new podcast too!

But we do have two new audio talks for you immediately:

Grabbing a Firebrand by Ratnaprabha.

And The Dharma of Denial by Manjuka.

This is a pair of talks taking as their lead-off point the often controversial aphorisms of Sangharakshita. Almost guaranteed to stir you up one way or the other!

So, lots more soon - but, in the meantime, enjoy!

First Update

December 12th, 2006

Hello. This is the first update post for the site now that we’ve had a wee rest… We’ll be doing this regularly (about once a week), so if you want to stay up-to-date with the talks as we add them, bookmark the RSS feed for this blog, or subscribe to our email list.

This week, we have a few added texts for you:

Chatral Rinpoche’s classic Words of Advice, translated by Adam Pearcey,

and three talks by Vessantara:

Here Be Dragons: Disasters, Dilemmas and Dead Ends on the Spiritual Quest,

Patrul Rinpoche, an excellent talk (not available in audio),

and Walking into the Forest (another talk also unavailable as audio).

All splendid stuff, as ever…

We’ve also added four audio talks:

Remembering Ambedkar by Sangharakshita.

Getting It by Vidyadevi.

Opening the Great Gates - Doorways to Liberation by Kulaprabha.

And Going for Refuge by Viveka.

Enjoy!
