The Way of Mindfulness Week 7 - Hindrances and Awakening Factors Meditation

by Vidyamala

To be fully present and fully heedful is the aim of the Buddhist life, but it’s not an easy thing to achieve, even for Buddhists! This series will help you to practise the Buddha's teaching of mindfulness effectively, using his original instruction from the Satipa??h?na Sutta.

In this closing meditation, we'll be allowing our awareness to rest inside our direct experience physically, emotionally, and mentally. Being curious as to whether any hindrance to awareness is present. Letting go of harsh judgment and being honest with ourselves.

Our overall purpose in this is to move towards freedom, release and love, seeing if we can take this clarity, this awareness, this knowledge of what is actually happening into our daily life.

Vidyamala is the founder of the pioneering Breathworks mindfulness community helping people around the world with chronic pain and stress and offering training in this field.
