Die drei Buddhas - Vergangenheit, Gegenwart, Zukunft

Im Zufluchtsbaum des Buddhistischen Ordens Triratna nehmen die drei Buddhas der Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft eine zentrale Stelle ein.

Betrachtet man den historischen Buddha Siddharta Gautama als den Buddha der Gegenwart - zwischen Dipankara, dem Buddha der Vergangenheit, und Maitreya, dem Buddha der Zukunft - so eröffnet sich eine ganz neue Dimension. Es ist wie ein Blick in den Sternenhimmel: Erleuchtung als kosmisches Prinzip, das über unvorstellbare Zeiträume hinweg entdeckt und wieder vergessen wird, bis es durch die Buddhas wieder in die Welt kommt.

Der Vortrag wurde 1995 als Teil einer Vortragsreihe zum Zufluchtsbaum im Buddhistischen Zentrum Essen gehalten.
